REQUIREMENTS

What it Takes

We are looking for an outgoing, skilled culinarian committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and taking our restaurant to the next level.

Minimum Required:

Training for this role is $18/hr. Experienced and efficient Managers can earn up to $60,000/year (with 10+ yrs. of exp).

The restaurant operates Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-9pm. 40 hour average work week

Acting as both a cashier and bartender, you’ll own and execute the following essential core activities:

  • Make drinks and take food orders for bar patrons
  • Make drinks for servers; orders will be printed at the bar, and the bartender is expected to promptly mix all drinks and keep them organized for servers to pick up and deliver to the tables
  • Answer a busy phone line and place orders electronically
  • Take orders in-person at counter
  • Handle and be responsible for all payments (digital, credit cards, gift cards, and cash)
  • Occasionally deliver orders to guests waiting outside for curbside pickup
  • Accurately assist in packing orders for takeout

  • Memorize the drink and dessert menu for on-demand recitation

What it Takes

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Bartender/Cashier dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and driving unsurpassed satisfaction.  

Minimum Required:

This hourly role compensates $10/hr plus bar patron, takeout, and server tips.

Available shifts are up to 40hrs/week, seven days, 11 am-10 pm.

The Front of House Manager will be the backbone of Cove Surf & Turf’s operations. We will depend on you to run our dining area efficiently, hire and train staff, ensure timely and accurate service, and contribute to the success and reputation of our restaurant. In this role, you will:

  • Greet incoming and departing customers to create a pleasant ambiance and experience.
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining areas and provide accurate wait times.
  • Promptly answer incoming calls, take reservations, coordinate takeout and delivery services.
  • Maintain a clean dining area and implement safe working practices.
  • Develop strong communication and line reporting procedures to implement and improve processes that drive better service and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate and lead management report meetings with key business leaders.
  • Lead hiring, managing, scheduling and training of supervisors, team leads and staff members.
  • Motivate the team to achieve their daily productivity and quality goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues, customer inquiries and escalations.
  • Recommend continuous improvements to our processes, workflows and operations.
  • Monitor and support customer service inquiries and promotions on social channels.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a high-traffic restaurant environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You Can Expect Day-to-Day

Supporting food preparation for a busy kitchen, you’ll own and execute the following essential culinary activities:

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items according to the recipe in cooperation with staff
  • Answer, report, and follow the executive chef’s instructions
  • Clean up the station and manage leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure high-quality food delivers punctually
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed

REQUIREMENTS

What it Takes

We are looking for an outgoing, skilled culinarian committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and taking our restaurant to the next level.

Minimum Required:

Training for this role is $17/hr. Experienced and efficient Managers can earn up to $60,000/year (with 10+ yrs. of exp).

The restaurant operates Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-9pm. 40 hour average work week

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Previous management experience in a professional environment
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with the industry’s best practices
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Job summary

  • Answer high volume of phone calls and place orders on computer touch screen
  • Maintain strong knowledge of our menu to answer guests’ questions and to offer additional, relevant products
  • Take orders in-person at counter
  • Handle and be responsible for payments, including digital, credit cards, gift cards and cash
  • Deliver orders to guests waiting outside for curbside pickup
  • Accurately assist in packing orders for takeout

Dishwasher responsibilities

  • Operate the industrial dishwasher
  • Wash glassware, pots and other implements by hand
  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles
  • Clean dish storage areas
  • Follow sanitation policies at all times
  • Provide assistance to prep cooks and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
  • Perform opening, closing and side work
  • Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
  • Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate parties
